Always have three prepared.

For any role:

1. "What is the biggest infrastructure or reliability challenge the team is working on right now?"
2. "What does the on-call setup look like and how mature are the runbooks?"
3. "What would success look like in the first six months?"

For Azure and hybrid roles:

1. "What is the current balance between Azure and AWS and where is the strategic direction heading?"
2. "You mentioned Prowler in the job spec. Is that already deployed or part of the roadmap?"

Do not ask first time: salary, holiday allowance, or "what is the work-life balance".
